Responsive Design
Responsive design is extremely important for your website as it allows intractability. Intractability will give your website a cleaner look and a more professional feel.
Additionally, when your website is interactable users are more likely to stay engaged. and engaged and interested users don't leave the pages quickly. Additionally, interactivity and responsiveness will help your user navigate to the areas and where you want them to go. it can draw attention to small details or make usability easier.
For example without responsiveness when you hover over a link you may not know it's even a link. Adding a pointer and changing the color of the text Will drastically improve a user's ability to tell what can be clicked and what they are clicking.
Google Reports
Google has a long list of free reports that you can see in regards to your website. There are three reports that will help you gauge what your user is using that I think are extremely valuable.
The first is the life cycle report. This gives you all the basic information about what the user does, how long they do it, how they get to your website and where they go on your website. This is considered a baseline report because of how encompassing it is.
Next, the user report will tell you all sorts of information about the specific visitors to your website this will help you analyze who is going where on your website. For example, if only people under the age of 40 are accessing your website, you may want to increase your appeal to the older masses. This could include attempts to increase accessibility.
Lastly, the acquisition report will tell you specifically how users are getting to your website. this will let you know whether they are coming from social media, whether they are searching it specifically in Google or what kinds of searches your website is coming up under. This will help you tailor how easy it is to find your website and make sure that people who would value the information on your website are able to access it easily.
